In a historical landmark, KNPC on 13 April,2014 signed the Clean Fuel Project (CFP) contract with the 3 alliances.The signing ceremony at the head office auditorium was attended by Minister of Oil & Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Al-Omair, KPC CEO Nizar Al-Adsan, Kuwait oil sector leaderships and a number of Ambassadors at Kuwait.

CEO Mohammad Ghazi Al-Mutairi signed the three packages.The consignees were Deputy CEO Projects Hatem Al-Awadhi, Deputy CEO Finance & Administration Affairs Ali Abdullah and CFP Manager Abdullah Fahad Al-Ajmi.

JGC Chairman K. Takeioushi signed on behalf of MAA Package (led by JGC), Petrofac General Manager S. Sharma signed on behalf of MAB Package-1 (led by Petrofac), and Fluor President – EC on behalf of MAB Package-2 (led by Fluor).Top officials of the involved companies also signed the contracts.

“This is a new breakthrough for Kuwait oil industry.It represents a qualitative jump in creating work opportunities, protecting the environment, boosting our competency, opening new markets and implementing new technologies,” Al-Mutairi said at the start of the ceremony which was widely covered by local and international media.
